Jadon Sancho among five safe from ‘massive rebuild’ after Man United source’s transfer update – pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Jadon Sancho is one of only five players who have a long-term future at Man United ahead of Erik ten Hag’s arrival.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted there needs to be a “massive rebuild” at Old Trafford, with the futures of many players in doubt.
A United source told Football Insider on Saturday (23 April), Ten Hag has been told he can overhaul the squad but will need to fund most of it through player sales.

His initial transfer budget will only be around £50million.
With a potential exodus on the cards, Hutton suggested there are only five players who look guaranteed to stay.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “There are only a few names that really stand out for me that’ll be there moving forward.
“Sancho, Fernandes, possibly McTominay, it’s up in the air. Elanga as well, young, hungry, energetic. Rashford, if they can get the best back out of him.
“Ronaldo, of course, but I’m talking about the future, not the immediate. I’m talking about moving forward.
“These are the guys that are still within the group that I think can give something. I think a lot of other players, there will be question marks over.
“You’ve got a lot of players with question marks over their heads: Lindelof, Dalot, Telles. You could go through the whole squad.
“I think it’s a massive rebuild. It’s a huge job when I look at it. When I look at the squad list, there are a lot of players there that I think a new manager would look to move on.”

Sancho, 22, has had a mixed first season since joining from Borussia Dortmund for a reported £73million last summer.
He is set to play under his third manager at United when Ten Hag takes charge this summer.
