Jadon Sancho ‘ready’ to agree Bundesliga return after Man United twist
Jadon Sancho is eyeing a return to the Bundesliga in the summer as he is unlikely to remain at Aston Villa or return to Man United as things stand.
The 25-year-old has started just four games since joining Unai Emery‘s side on loan, including in their 1-0 defeat against Brentford, and is unlikely to be kept on.
Former United and Villa scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that a return to the Bundesliga, where he previously impressed with Borussia Dortmund, is now on the cards.
Sancho remains highly thought-of in Germany, where there is a belief that his style of play is better-suited to the face of the game after his struggles in the Premier League.
The winger’s contract at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of the season, and he will be allowed to discuss terms over a free transfer elsewhere.

Jadon Sancho could make Bundesliga move after Aston Villa exit
Brown told Football Insider on 29 January that Sancho will not return to Man United and instead will be allowed to find his next club as a free agent.
Despite the imminent arrival of a new manager following Ruben Amorim‘s departure and Michael Carrick‘s interim spell, his situation is unlikely to change.
“He’s going to leave Villa at the end of his loan spell,” Brown told Football Insider.
“Then he’ll come back to Man United but his contract is up so he’ll have to see who comes in for him.
“Before the move to Villa there was talk of a move back to Germany, because he’s shown he can perform there in the past and he’s highly regarded there.
“I think the pace of the game suits his style a bit better than the Premier League does, it’s not so much about pace and athleticism as it is here.
“We’ve seen Sancho perform out there with Dortmund twice, so it’s certainly something I think he will be ready for when he does leave Villa and Man United.

“Whether it’s Dortmund again or another German club, there was talk before about Saudi as well so that might be something to look out for.
“Either way, he’s not going to be a Man United player for much longer and I wouldn’t expect him to stay at Aston Villa either after this season.”
Man United race Liverpool in pursuit of Adam Wharton
Speculation surrounding the long-term future of Sancho is set to rumble on well beyond the end of the mid-season window, as is that of Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.
Football Insider revealed on 1 February that Man United and Liverpool both want Wharton and could move to prise him away come the end of the season.
However, the England international will not be allowed to leave Palace this month after the departure of Marc Guehi with Jean-Philippe Mateta set to follow soon.

Instead, he is more likely to be available in the summer when Liverpool, Man United and more are expected to accelerate moves to bring him in.
The 21-year-old is seen as a top midfield target for both clubs who have been tracking his development in Oliver Glasner‘s side over the last two seasons.
