James Maddison and Dominic Solanke react to Tottenham injury announcement

Tottenham stars including James Maddison and Dominic Solanke have taken to social media to show support after a teammate confirmed a serious injury.

Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin announced on Instagram that he has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

The 23-year-old is now expected to miss the remainder of the season and part of the next campaign as well.

Following the news, Tottenham fans expressed frustration, claiming the club is “cursed” as their injury crisis deepens.

Maddison reacted by liking Dragusin’s post, while Solanke showed his support by sending white heart emojis. Goalkeeper Brandon Austin also commented, writing: “We’re all with you, brother.”

Tottenham injury crisis deepens with Radu Dragusin blow

Spurs are dealing with a growing injury list, with eight first-team players currently sidelined, including Maddison himself, Solanke, and Cristian Romero.

Dragusin had stepped up in response to the crisis, starting 25 of his 28 appearances across all competitions this season. His absence is a significant setback for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who are already stretched thin at the back.

However, there is some positive news, as Micky van de Ven recently confirmed his long-awaited return to Spurs action, offering the team a much-needed boost.

Football Insider previously revealed that the Tottenham’s board are aware of the ongoing injury struggles and remain committed to backing Postecoglou until key players are fit again.

Despite the ongoing injury setbacks, the support the young centre-back has received from teammates will be encouraging for both him and the fans. Maddison reached out to show solidarity to Dragusin highlighting the strong camaraderie within the squad.

Tottenham have struggled this season, currently sitting 14th in the table with just 27 points.

Despite their poor form and recent loss to Liverpool which saw them crash out of the Carabao Cup, the club’s board appears to be backing Postecoglou, as shown by their activity in the January transfer window.

Spurs strengthened the squad by beating Arsenal and Manchester United to sign Mathys Tel, securing a loan deal for Kevin Danso, and adding goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky to their ranks.
