Jamie Redknapp has slammed West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet and claimed he has shown a lack of interest this season.
The Hammers boss Slaven Bilic revealed on Thursday that the 29-year-old had expressed his desire to leave the club despite signing a new five year deal in February.
West Ham’s senior player is now trying to force a move away from the London Stadium, with Chelsea reportedly interested in the midfielder.
Redknapp has voiced his frustration with Payet and feels he has looked disinterested all season.

“You cannot tell me that Dimitri Payet has shown the same interest or hunger as he did last season,” Redknapp wrote in the Mail. “I have watched a lot of West Ham this season and Payet has looked like he doesn’t want to be there.
“He doesn’t seem as fit as he did last season and his body language smacks of a player who wants to leave.”
West Ham have endured a disappointing season and are currently 13th in the Premier League table, but were expected to compete for a European spot.
Payet has been one of the club’s standout performers this campaign, scoring three goals and supplying eight assists in 22 appearances.
The France international was even more impressive last season as he steered the club to seventh in the league table.
The attacking midfielder scored 15 goals and supplied 17 assists last season and was nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award, which was swooped by Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.
Payet has lit up the Premier League with his ability in the past 18 months, but looks set to leave the Hammers on a negative note.
