Jamie Vardy cited as Celtic tipped to complete multiple transfers – expert

Kyogo Furuhashi will thrive under Brendan Rodgers at Celtic.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Hoops and West Ham striker Frank McAvennie said Kyogo is reminiscent of a younger Jamie Vardy.

Rodgers is closing in on a return to Parkhead after former manager Ange Postecoglou was confirmed as the new head coach of Tottenham.

On Wednesday (14 June), Football Insider revealed that Rodgers is set to return as manager of the Scottish champions after being offered a very lucrative contract.

The club have been going over the details of the 50-year-old’s backroom staff as his Parkhead homecoming edges closer.

McAvennie doesn’t foresee Rodgers having troubles with the new Celts’ playing style.

There is not a lot you can do with some of these players except let them play, so I can’t see him holding back,” he told Football Insider.

Kyogo is like a younger, faster Jamie Vardy so he will be used to that.

What a player Vardy was but when Brendan went there he was over 30 years old so he has got a younger version there in Kyogo who can turn a game.

That is a tool that Brendan never had last time he was at Celtic. It will be interesting to see who he keeps and who he moves on.”

Kyogo, 28, scored 34 goals across 50 appearances for the Celts in all competitions this season.
