‘Jarell Quansah to Newcastle update after Liverpool talks with Dean Huijsen’
Dean Huijsen’s potential arrival at Liverpool in the summer transfer window could help Newcastle be successful in signing Jarell Quansah.
Huijsen is being tracked by multiple Premier League clubs following his impressive performances under Andoni Iraola this term, with Chelsea the latest to join Liverpool in the race to sign the Bournemouth centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window.
Former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, exclusively told Football Insider that the Blues are determined to land a deal for the 20-year-old, but will face tough competition from Liverpool.
It is also believed that Newcastle are looking for defensive reinforcements, and consider Quansah a key target, with a £30million deal plus add-ons potentially being enough to get the deal over the line.

Bournemouth ‘resigned’ to losing Dean Huijsen this summer
According to talkSPORT, Bournemouth are “resigned” to losing Huijsen this summer, with the defender having a £50m release clause in his contract.
The young defender has reportedly held talks with a host of clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, and is on the radar of European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
However with Liverpool looking to sign a new centre-back, the report says that Huijsen’s potential arrival would facilitate the possibility of Quansah departing, with Newcastle being linked with a move.
The Reds are still looking to sign a central defender despite the expectation that captain Virgil van Dijk will now join Mohamed Salah in signing a new deal, although Ibrahima Konaté’s future at Liverpool remains less certain.

A good deal for both Liverpool and Newcastle
Football Insider Verdict
It’s no wonder all the top club’s around the world have been alerted by Huijsen‘s £50m release clause ahead of the summer transfer window.
In his first season at Bournemouth, he went on to make his debut for Spain and in doing so established himself as one of the best young defenders in the world.
Huijsen is the epitome of a modern ball-playing centre-back and would provide another dimension to that of Konaté alongside Van Dijk next season, if they are to stay at the club.
Liverpool are not the only ones getting an excellent deal here, as despite a difficult campaign, Quansah has all the tools to be moulded into a top defender in the correct environment.

Under the guidance of Eddie Howe, the Englishman could add another versatile option to Newcastle’s back line, with the club on course to achieve Champions League qualification next season.
It remains to be seen whether Huijsen or Quansah will be on the move in the summer, but in the case it does happen, both would represent excellent value for money deals for Liverpool and Newcastle.
