Jarrod Bowen posts new update amid major developments at West Ham

West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen has took to social media to reveal a new update amid his injury.

The Englishman suffered a fractured foot in his side’s 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on 29 December in a major blow to Julen Lopetegui’s ill-fated reign.

He’s been a key player for the Hammers this season and this injury has caused most feel their season is already over, with talkSPORT now reporting that the club have decided to sack the embattled manager.

However, the 28-year has shown on his Instagram story that his recovery process has already begun, giving West Ham fans hope of a quick comeback.

He posted a short clip of him running on a treadmill with an hourglass emoji as the caption.

Lopetegui had been tipped for the sack for several weeks and the club’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad further fuelled fan calls for his dismissal.

Bowen has been a rare bright spot in what has been a difficult season for the club. With six goals and four assists across all competitions, he has been a standout performer while the club lingers in mid-table.

Graham Potter has been heavily linked with the managerial role, and the board’s indecision may prove costly in the long run.

If Bowen returns from injury quickly, it would undoubtedly benefit the club, as he appears to be one of the few players performing at the required level.

It seems the board is already preparing funds for potential changes, with reports suggesting they are willing to sell key man Mohammed Kudus. Those funds would certainly help a new manager for signings and Lopetegui’s sack fee.

With a potential relegation battle on the horizon, it remains to be seen if the board are ready to cut ties with the manager they appointed just last summer.

In other news, West Ham have been backed to sign in this postion during the January transfer window.
