Jeremie Frimpong sends message to Noa Lang after injury during Liverpool vs Galatasaray
Jeremie Frimpong has reached out in support of Galatasaray star Noa Lang after he picked up a horror injury against Liverpool in the Champions League.
Lang went down in agony in the 76th minute of their Anfield clash on Wednesday after he tripped into the advertising hoardings following a failed attempt to keep the ball in play.
He had to be stretchered off the field, despite only coming on as a substitute at half-time, and replays of the incident showed that he had suffered a gruesome cut to the thumb on his right hand.
Mauro Icardi replaced him in attack for the Turkish giants, but the tie was already over by that point as Liverpool ran out 4-0 winners to progress to the quarter-finals.
Liverpool’s next home match is against Fulham in April, and they will hope to have the issue with the hoardings fixed by the time that game comes around.

Frimpong started for Liverpool at right-back against Galatasaray, but had already been substituted off around 10 minutes before Lang suffered his injury.
The pair know each other well, having played together five times across their careers while representing both the Netherlands under-20 and senior teams.

After being asked about the injury by ESPN following the game, Frimpong said that Lang was in “a lot of pain” and he heard from others “that it did not look good”.
Gala boss Okan Buruk called it a “serious” issue and revealed that the Netherlands international had gone to hospital, and Lang took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a picture of him in a bed with a gown on next to two nurses.

Frimpong extended a message to his friend on his own Instagram story, saying: “Siaaaa” with a red heart emoji, while Ryan Gravenberch replied to the post with praying hands and a red heart.
What chance do Liverpool have of making the Champions League final?
Liverpool will now face PSG in the UCL quarter finals, with the first leg at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday, 8 April, while the return leg is set for Tuesday, 14 April.
They lost to the Parisians in the round of 16 last season as Luis Enrique’s side went on to lift the trophy, and Opta are currently giving Arne Slot’s side a 43.75 per cent chance of progressing into the semis with a win across two legs this time around.
Sources have told Football Insider that Liverpool chiefs are asking questions of Slot right now, but Wednesday’s win will have relieved the pressure, and making it past PSG would surely mean he keeps his job beyond this season.
Winning the whole thing would see him hailed as a club legend, but Opta are not optimistic of their chances, with a 7.12 per cent chance of doing so as it stands.
