Jeremy Doku to be absolutely crushed by major injury update ahead of Real Madrid vs Man City
Jeremy Doku has already been handed some devastating news before Man City visit Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Man City were defeated 2-0 by Bayer Leverkusen in their previous European outing, leaving them ninth in the league standings, compounding a disappointing Premier League trip to St James’ Park.
Since then, the Citizens have gone unbeaten in back-to-back league games, though Pep Guardiola’s side nearly threw away three points against Leeds United and Fulham on both occasions.
The team will be hoping to eradicate any mistakes, especially in the second half of games, and continue their unbeaten run, with both Sunderland, Real Madrid, and Crystal Palace on the horizon.
Sunderland have just drawn 1-1 with Liverpool, showing their pedegree to the rest of the Premier League, but some focus will have, undoubtedly, already shifted to Los Blancos at the Bernabeu.

Jeremy Doku to miss reunion with player he has haunted before
Man City will feel that they have a score to settle against the La Liga giants, having been knocked out of the Champions League by the Spanish giants last season.
It feels as though the two heavyweights go up against each other every campaign, having met eight times in Europe’s biggest club competition since 2022.
However, one of the most important battles on the pitch would have included the in-form Doku, who has massively stepped up this season, notching three goals and five assists in all competitions.
The Belgian will have been looking forward to a reunion with former Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, but it is understood that the England international will be sidelined for the next two months.
Man City star would have loved to have repeated Liverpool embarrassments
Despite the Reds beating the Citizens back in February, the major talking point was about Alexander-Arnold’s defensive capabilities after being run ragged by Doku.
As the winger completed 15 of his 20 attempted dribbles at the Etihad, and also won 16 of his 22 ground duels, Alexander-Arnold was dribbled past 12 times, lost 12 of his ground duels, and missed two tackles [FotMob].
Doku likely caused his opponent to have nightmares, with some joking that he was the reason for the defender’s move to Real Madrid during the summer. Sadly, he won’t have that chance again.
Alexander-Arnold’s start to life in Spain has certainly been a disappointing one, but he might just breathe a sigh of relief when realising that he won’t have to defend against one of the most in-form wingers.
