Jesse Lingard hits out at Man United fan in explosive new message

Jesse Lingard took to social media to hit back at a fan who claimed he, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford ‘destroyed the culture’ at Man United.

Lingard, 32, left Man United as a free agent back in 2022, signing for Nottingham Forest before being released once again after just one season.

The attacking midfielder is currently plying his trade for FC Seoul and has since become the captain of the South Korean club, starting 23 of his 26 games across all competitions, scoring six goals, and providing one assist in his 1971 minutes of action.

Lingard hasn’t been without controversy while playing in South Korea after getting in trouble with South Korean authorities over a video he posted on Snapchat.

Pogba, 31, has been without a club since being released by Juventus in November 2024 following a failed drug test that saw him receive a four-year ban that has since been reduced to 18-months.

The midfielder will be eligible to play football again from March 2025 and has been linked with a sensational return to Man United.

Rashford, 27, was the last of the three players to leave the club, joining Champions League-chasing Aston Villa on loan in the January transfer window.

Jadon Sancho, another player who received backlash from United fans while at the club appeared to hit out at his former club in a social media message to Rashford.

Lingard, clearly angered by the fan’s accusation responded on X, formally known as Twitter, to ask:
“Please explain how me Paul and Marcus destroyed Manchester United’s culture?”

Man United continue to struggle under Ruben Amorim, sitting in 13th with eight wins, five draws, 11 defeats, and 29 points from their 24 games.

Amoim’s side will take on fellow ‘big six’ strugglers Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday (February 16).
