Jesse Marsch won’t be at Leeds United next season after latest – pundit

Leeds United fans are already turning on Jesse Marsch with the club now “pretty much going down”.

That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the American’s impact.

Marsch, 48, replaced Marcelo Bielsa on 28 February after Leeds were hammered 4-0 by Tottenham.

After an initial improvement in results, the Whites now sit in the relegation zone with two league games remaining.

To make matters worse, Leeds have completely fallen apart in their last two games, finding themselves down to 10 men in the first half of games against Arsenal and Chelsea.

McAvennie has not been impressed with Marsch and claims he won’t be at the club next season if Leeds stay up.

“It’s not looking good, is it?” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Burnley and Everton look like they have turned a corner and Leeds are getting worse.

“They are pretty much going down in my opinion. The manager has done absolutely nothing.

“The whole thing about him coming in was that he was meant to stop Leeds conceding loads of goals, that hasn’t happened.

“I don’t think it’s worked out for him and it seems like the fans have turned on him.

“I don’t expect he will be there next season either way, it hasn’t worked.”

Burnley who are level on points with Leeds, and Everton, who have one more point, both have a game in hand on the Whites.

Marsch’s side face Brighton and Brentford in their final two games.

In other news, the Whites are plotting a speed-machine raid after talks held.
