Jobe Bellingham sends two-word message as Sunderland transfer confirmed

Jobe Bellingham is keeping a close eye on updates at Sunderland as the former midfielder enjoys life at Borussia Dortmund.

It was only a few weeks ago that Bellingham was suspended for two games, thanks to a straight red card against Freiburg, but the youngster already has one goal and four assists in 31 games.

A return to England was on the cards, with Football Insider understanding that Crystal Palace had registered an interest in Bellingham ahead of January, but there has been very little movement since.

He continues to grow in stature in the Bundesliga, as well as starring in the Champions League, but his old club still has a space close to his heart after two incredible seasons at the Stadium of Light.

Dan Neil switches Sunderland for Ipswich Town

Plenty has been made of Dan Neil’s future back at Sunderland, with West Ham and Rangers both registering an interest, but his next move has been revealed.

After the confirmed news that Neil is joining Ipswich Town, bringing an end to his 18 years at the Stadium of Light, Bellingham sent a message of farewell, simply saying: “My skippa”.

While it is only a six-month loan until the end of the 2025-26 campaign, the 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer, with no expectations that he will be given a new deal with the Black Cats.

Ipswich have signed Anis Mehmeti from Bristol City, with Kieran McKenna‘s side aiming for Premier League success again. Yet, it is a sad end to the midfielder’s career at Sunderland.

Regis Le Bris to target reinforcements at the Stadium of Light

Only recently has Tommy Watson been linked with a Sunderland return, and he could be key for the Black Cats if they are to continue their incredible form in the Premier League.

The majority of supporters expected Regis Le Bris’ side to be fighting relegation, but 23 games into the season, they are 11th in the standings despite losing to West Ham.

Wolves, Burnley, and West Ham are all in the relegation zone, with Nottingham Forest also about to fall into the dogfight, but the Black Cats are nowhere to be seen.

They’ve already beaten the likes of Brentford, Chelsea, and Bournemouth, while also holding Man City and Liverpool to draws, and will be hoping to prove themselves against Arsenal soon.
