Joey Barton hails three outstanding Tottenham individuals after Everton win

By Derek Smithson

Joey Barton hailed the trio of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli following Tottenham’s win over Everton.

Spurs recorded a convincing 3-0 away victory against the Toffees and moved up to fifth in the Premier League table.

Forward Kane netted his first two goals of the season for the North London club and in the process surpassed 100 for Spurs.

Eriksen also got in on the act by getting on the scoresheet and the attacking midfielder has made an impressive start to the new campaign.

Barton believes that Spurs cruised to their win at Goodison Park and highlighted the performances of their attacking trio as “superb”.

“Spurs excellent today. Kane, Eriksen and Alli all superb. Pochettino tactically won battle with Koeman. Easy away win,” Barton said, as quoted by his official Twitter account.

Mauricio Pochettino has managed to find some consistency in most areas of his starting XI and the attacking line up is certainly set in stone.

Kane, Eriksen and Alli have all become mainstays in the team during the past couple of seasons and developed into quality players.

They scored a combined total of 69 goals across all competitions last season and have played a big role in the club competing for Premier League titles.

Spurs managed to keep hold of their star players in the summer and they will be hoping they can guide them to a title bid after a dominant win over Everton.
