Tottenham fans react to Sanchez display after win v Everton
By Danny Wright
Tottenham fans got their first proper sight of Davinson Sanchez when he started against Everton on Saturday – and they were not let down by their new man.
Sanchez, 21, become Spurs’ record signing in August when he completed a £40million move from Ajax.
Saturday’s visit to Everton was the Colombian enforcer’s first start for Tottenham after he was picked by Mauricio Pochettino to feature in the 3-0 win at Goodison Park.
Sanchez made his debut prior to the international break with a one-minue cameo appearance in the 1-1 draw with Burnley at Wembley.
Harry Kane bagged two goals either side of Christian Eriksen’s strike, but it was the summer signing Sanchez that received all the attention from the fans on Twitter.

There were doubts about how much Tottenham paid to land Sanchez from Ajax last month but the Colombian international is already looking as though he may be worth it against an Everton side that is not short of talent in attack.
Spurs made the Toffees look average, despite them spending big on improving their attack in the wake of Romelu Lukaku’s move to Manchester United.
Sanchez is one of a number of former Ajax players featuring in the Spurs team at the moment with fellow defenders Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen also hailing from the Amsterdam club.
Christian Eriksen, who scored on Saturday, was also a product of the Ajax youth system.
In other Tottenham news, fans raged at Pochettino’s decision to omit this player from his starting line-up.
