John Lundstram now expected to leave Rangers after ‘whispers’ – expert
John Lundstram is now expected to leave Rangers when his contract expires amid reports linking him with a move to English clubs.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Alan Hutton explained that the longer the rumours go on for, the more he expects him to leave.
With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Lundstram has been linked with moves to England, as Football Insider reported (17 April).

Football Insider also revealed (11 March) that the midfielder had stalled talks over a new deal at Ibrox, with time ticking to make a decision.
However, Hutton explained his view that while he initially expected the new contract to be a “no-brainer”, a recent dip in form could see him move on.
“A few months ago, I genuinely thought it was an absolute no-brainer [that Lundstram would sign a new deal],” he told Football Insider.
“He was probably a top performer at the time and I thought it would be a done deal in a matter of weeks.
“It’s not really panned out that way. Yes, his form has dipped ever so slightly, that can happen towards the end of a long season.

“I’m kind of on the fence now. I see a lot of rumours about him moving on, I’m also hearing whispers from people I know, and I’m wondering if that’s going to be the case now.
“The longer it goes on the more you start to think there’s a possibility that he could leave.”
