Jonjo Shelvey has this message for Newcastle fans ahead of crucial Leeds clash

Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has issued a rallying call to the fans ahead of their match with Leeds this Friday night, telling them not to panic.
Shelvey’s comments come after Newcastle’s disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of play-off chasing Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Tom Lees and Steven Fletcher scored second-half goals for the Owls, before Shelvey netted in the 88th minute, but it was not enough to earn his side anything from the game.
The result meant the Toon lost pace on Brighton, their rivals for the Championship title, as the Seagulls beat QPR 2-1 thanks to goals from Glenn Murray and Sebastien Pocognoli.
Newcastle now sit in second, two points behind Brighton who lead, with a crucial Friday night clash with fifth-placed Leeds coming up this Friday night.

In the Daily Mirror, Shelvey said: “Dont’ panic. We are 10 points ahead of third-placed Huddersfield and we have a few days to get our ideas together.
“Next Friday is a big game against Leeds and we’re looking forward to it. The atmosphere was booming down at Elland Road and it will be at our place in the return match.”
After his strike against Wednesday, the former Liverpool midfielder now has four goals in his 36 Championship appearances this term, as well as nine assists.
Newcastle won the previous tie with Leeds earlier this season as Dwight Gayle bagged a brace to secure a 2-0 Toon win at Elland Road, though Rafa Benitez will be without Gayle for this Friday night after he limped off in the defeat to Wednesday.
