Jorgen Strand Larsen to Nottingham Forest odds slashed after Premier League club pull out of race
Jorgen Strand Larsen’s woeful return for Wolves this season appears to have done little to dim the interest in the striker this January transfer window.
The Norwegian international has only scored once in the Premier League this campaign, an awful record for the Old Gold’s main man up top.
Yet, plenty of teams are interested in acquiring the out-of-form striker, with West Ham in the race to acquire Strand Larsen before the January window shuts.
However, a new favourite has now emerged, with Nottingham Forest leading the race for the attacker, according to one bookmaker.
”Because of the position we are in, there’s going to be speculation about a number of them (players), not just him (Jorgen Strand Larsen).

Nottingham Forest just 2/1 to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen
Nottingham Forest’s toothlessness up top this season has been the bane of their campaign.
To date, Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi are the Reds’ top scorers in the Premier League with just three goals.
Therefore, with Nottingham Forest’s top-flight status on the line, a new striker is clearly needed in January to pull them away from the relegation zone.
With Football Insider exclusively reporting that Everton are out of the race for Strand Larsen, it has opened the door for Sean Dyche’s side to make a move.
According to The Telegraph on 31 December, Forest have joined the race to sign the Wolves striker and are considering an approach.
Now, according to one bookmaker, the Reds are the favourites to sign Strand Larsen, with odds as low as 2/1.
Oddschecker on 3 January have confirmed these odds have been slashed, with Forest now leading the way for the striker.

Following Dyche’s side is Crystal Palace at 3/1, as well as West Ham, who are 11/4 to acquire his services.
What has happened to Strand Larsen this season?
While Wolves’ downfall this season has been shocking, the drop-off of Strand Larsen is arguably the worst of the Old Gold’s squad.
The striker netted 14 Premier League goals last season, yet has only scored once this campaign, with this coming from the penalty spot.
According to Fotmob on 3 January, many of his problems stem from his reluctance to shoot, only registering 1.21 shots a game.
As a result, his xG is considerably low for a striker at 2.68, a terrible stat for the midway point of the season.
| Jorgen Strand Larsen’s stats in the Premier League this season | Per 90 minutes |
| Goals | 0.07 |
| Shots | 1.21 |
| xG | 0.19 |
| Assists | 0.00 |
| Touches in opposition bix | 3.85 |
| Aerial duels won | 41% |
While many will argue he has to do more off the ball to create chances for himself, as it stands, the service to the Norwegian international appears to be abysmal.
Therefore, if he were to get a move to a Premier League side this month that can create chances for him, there is no reason why he can’t be a success.
