'Braindead', Your own fans want him dropped – Celtic fans fume after Rangers 24-year-old wins award

Josh Windass has won the Ladbrokes Scottish Player of the Month award for February and Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to lambast the decision.

The news was announced on the Sky Sports Scotland Twitter page on Friday lunchtime.

The 24-year-old attacker has admittedly enjoyed one of his best months in a Rangers shirt, scoring seven goals, including his second hat-trick at Rangers against Hamilton.

He’s carried his form into March when he scored the first goal of the game against Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.

However, Celtic went on to win the game 3-2 and their fans have taken to Twitter to question the award for Windass.

One Celtic fan laughed that a hat-trick against Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup has “rocketed his career”.

He went on to say that even Rangers fans are shouting for him to be dropped from their side.

Another fan sarcastically remarked that he’d put in a good two minutes against Celtic on Sunday.
