Josh Windass has amusingly applauded Clint Hill’s goalscoring form for Rangers after the veteran defender scored against Hamilton on Saturday.
Hill, 38, struck his third goal in three games against the Accies during the 4-0 win, less than a week after equalising against Old Firm rivals Celtic on Parkhead during the 1-1 draw.
Posting on his personal Instagram account, midfielder Windass used the song ‘Freed from Desire’ made famous by the goalscoring form of Wigan striker Will Grigg to laud Hill.
Windass, 23, posted “Clint Hill’s on fire”, as the defender took his Rangers tally to six strikes in 28 appearances despite being a centre back.

Former QPR defender Hill bundled home the ball from close range after Spanish playmaker Jon Toral provided an inch-perfect delivery into Hamilton’s box.
Hill’s goal was the Gers’ second of the afternoon, as they strolled to a comfortable win against Hamilton in manager Pedro Caixinha’s first match in charge of the 54-time Scottish champions.
USA international Emerson Hyndman put the Gers 1-0 up, before Hill’s strike doubled the lead before the break. Martyn Waghorn and Lee Wallace rounded off the rout in the second half.
Hill has now scored three times in his last three outings, scoring in the 6-0 Scottish Cup win against Hamilton earlier this month before securing a surprise draw away at Celtic.
The left-footed defender is expected to keep his place in Caixinha’s starting eleven against Motherwell on April 1, as the international break takes priority over the next fortnight.
In other Rangers news, Hyndman has revealed that he is in talks with a Premier League manager.
