Joshua Zirkzee reacts as Bayern Munich deal agreed
Joshua Zirkzee has long been linked away from Man United after struggling for first-team football.
Since his move from Bologna last summer, the striker has failed to impress and only has nine goals for the Red Devils to date.
As a result of his form, the 24-year-old’s game time has been limited, with the Netherlands international yet to play a single minute since Michael Carrick was appointed at Old Trafford.
In the winter window, rumours surrounding Zirkzee’s future were rife at Old Trafford. However, by the time the deadline struck on Monday, he remained at the Red Devils.
With his long-term future remaining uncertain, the striker has now been spotted reacting to Serge Gnabry’s new contract at Bayern Munich.
Joshua Zirkzee reacts as Serge Gnabry signs new deal at Bayern Munich
Since leaving the Premier League, Gnabry has become a star in the Bundesliga.
The 30-year-old has been at Bayern Munich since 2017 after moving from Werder Bremen and has won numerous honours during his time in Bavaria.
While Gnabry has since been linked back to the Premier League, the winger has remained at the German giants, as they look to once again win the Bundesliga and Champions League.
Now, the former Arsenal player has committed his future to Bayern Munich by signing a new deal until 2028.
Many former and current players reacted to Gnabry’s post on his Instagram about the news on 5 February, including Zirkzee.
The Man United star was formerly his teammate at Bayern, and he reacted to the post with a like.
What has Gnabry said about his new contract?
For both parties, the deal will be seen as a big positive.
Gnabry has been in fine form for Bayern Munich this season, and already has nine goal contributions in 15 Bundesliga matches.
With the German side already six points clear of second, there is now a big chance for them to focus on the Champions League, as they look to win the trophy for the first time since 2020.
However, for Gnabry, the deal will be a relief, as he is now set to stay at the German giants for 10 plus years.

Speaking to Bayern Munich on 5 February, he was quick to express how happy he was to have gotten the deal done.
He said: “I’m excited to get to play for Bayern for more years. Talks were always positive. When I started at Bayern, I never would’ve thought that I’d be here for 10 years by the end of this contract.
“My goals are to keep things going. We’re a real unit and can achieve something big. The reasons to renew my contract are the team, the coaches, the whole club, the fans, the city and the environment. I feel very much at home at Bayern.”
