Kenny Miller responds when asked about Rangers future after brace v Aberdeen
By Will Butcher
Kenny Miller has revealed that there has been no movement over renewing his Rangers contract following his sensational brace against Aberdeen.
Miller, 37, has less than two months remaining on his Ibrox contract, but proved the difference at Pittodrie on Sunday with two sublime goals as the Gers won 3-0.
Speaking to Sky Sports 2’s live transmission of the match after the full-time whistle, Miller revealed that there has been no talks regarding a new deal.
The former Celtic striker is also unsure if his late heroics against Aberdeen will tempt top-ranking officials at Ibrox to offer him an extension.
When asked if his display would earn a new deal, Miller said: “Not at all. You work hard, get your head down. But there has been no movement at all, we’ll see what happens.

“There aren’t many tougher places to come. We’ve proved we can take on anyone, Wes (Foderingham) has made some great saves at the other end but we put our chances away and it is a well-deserved three points.”
Miller is the Gers’ top league goalscorer with eight strikes this season, as he fired Rangers towards three points in a surprise win before Joe Dodoo rounded off the victory.
Rangers’ number nine lashed home a loose ball in the Aberdeen penalty area with just over 10 minutes remaining on the clock, before doubling his tally two minutes later.
Miller slid home the ball when put through one-on-one with goalkeeper Joe Lewis, while former Leicester ace Dodoo came off the bench to steer a shot past Lewis in the 83rd minute.
The Gers remain in third place but have moved to within nine points of second placed Aberdeen with six games remaining in the top flight of Scottish football.
