Keown: These three Arsenal players would make Tottenham starting XI
By Russell Edge
Martin Keown has claimed that three Arsenal players would get into the Tottenham starting XI despite Spurs dominating last weekend’s North London derby.
Goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane sank the Gunners and ensured that Spurs would finish the season above their local rivals for the first time since 1995.
Answering questions on the Daily Mail’s website, Keown said that Alexis Sanchez, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal would be starters were they Tottenham players.
However, he did admit that not many others would be contenders, with Spurs having enjoyed another successful season.
Tottenham are competing in the title race for a second successive year, whereas Arsenal have disappointed in the league after last season’s second placed finish.

The Gunners find themselves down in sixth this season, although they have made it to the FA Cup final after beating Manchester City in the semi-finals, where Tottenham were knocked out by Chelsea.
Keown wrote on the Daily Mail website: “Obviously Alexis Sanchez — with the right mindset — would get into the team.
“Laurent Koscielny is another I would play and, with Danny Rose injured, Nacho Monreal would get in at left back ahead of Ben Davies.”
Other than Davies, Keown does not make it clear who they would be replacing in the Spurs XI, with Sanchez coming up against Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son in the attacking midfield roles.
As for Koscielny, he would have to usurp Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghan or Eric Dier from the heart of the Tottenham defence.
Spurs play West Ham at the London Stadium on Friday knowing that victory would put them within a point of league leaders Chelsea, who play Middlesbrough on Monday night.
In other Tottenham news, this player has just dropped a huge hint about his future at the club.
