Key Liverpool games Jeremie Frimpong could miss as injury expert shares return prediction
Jeremie Frimpong could be set for another extended spell on the sidelines after the Liverpool star suffered a new injury.
The 24-year-old lasted just 19 minutes as Liverpool batted Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday, 22 October, quickly replaced by Conor Bradley in defence.
Alexander Isak also picked up a groin injury, having to be replaced at the half-time break, so Arne Slot has been handed a double blow in Germany despite an outstanding away performance.
Multiple players in the squad have suffered setbacks since the 2025-26 campaign kicked off, including Ibrahima Konate, Alisson, and Giovanni Leoni, and now the manager’s fears have worsened.
There are still multiple areas of the squad that remain lacking in depth, and after a summer of major spending in the final third, some decisions could come back to haunt the manager.
Injury expert predicts Jeremie Frimpong to be sidelined for four weeks
Slot confirmed that Frimpong had suffered a hamstring injury just a matter of weeks after returning from his previous problem in the same area, and his injury timeline does not look positive.
Injury expert Ben Dinnery has predicted the defender to be out until 22nd November, which would see him miss yet another large chunk of matches since arriving at Anfield in the summer.
He missed a total of six games for club and country during the last two months, and given that Mohamed Salah was dropped against Frankfurt, it could be two blows from one player due to his attacking ability.

If predictions are proven to be right, or even worse than expected, the welcoming of Real Madrid to Anfield could be one of the biggest games that Frimpong misses for the Reds.
Arne Slot could suffer a major injury blow for Real Madrid and Man City
October
- 25 October: Premier League, Brentford (A)
- 29 October: Carabao Cup, Crystal Palace (H)
November
- 1 November: Premier League, Aston Villa (H)
- 4 November: Champions League, Real Madrid (H)
- 9 November: Premier League, Man City (A)
That would see him return to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday, 9 November, but PSV Eindhoven’s trip to Merseyside might be a more important focus for the Reds’ medical team.
