‘Kieran Tierney will join Celtic in January on one Arsenal condition’
Celtic have confirmed a pre-contract agreement with Kieran Tierney but their hopes of him joining in January rest on another player, according to Tam McManus.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers, has confirmed that Tierney is set to join the club in the summer after agreeing a deal [Sky Sports].
Celtic are still hoping a deal can be done this January, after Alex Valle’s loan deal with Barcelona was terminated.
According to McManus, any deal for Tierney in the winter transfer window is almost certain to be contingent on Arsenal keeping Oleksandr Zinchenko.
McManus said on X: “I’d say the only way he [Tierney] ends up at Celtic in THIS window is if Arsenal keep Zinchenko and something can be done very late on.
“If they sell Zinchenko then definitely keep KT for cover until the Summer.”

Football Insider Verdict
Following Valle’s departure, the Hoops are now left with Greg Taylor as their only senior left-back option.
Youngster Adam Montgomery is not in Rodger’s plans and the club will listen to offers for the 22-year-old in the summer.
Alexandro Bernabei has also left the club, signing for Internacional in Brazil [BBC Sport], further weakening the depth at left-back.

That leaves centre-back Auston Trusty as the only other player with experience playing on the left-side, but it likely Rodgers would prefer that the American continues to play at the heart of his defence.
Tierney will be a great addition to the squad, providing he can stay fit, but if the Arsenal man does not join until the summer, Celtic will need to add a temporary alternative in the final days of the transfer window.
In other news, the Hoops have re-signed one of their former star players this January.
