Kieran Trippier and Dominic Solanke joined players across the footballing world in reacting to Harry Kane’s passionate message on social media.

The England striker enjoyed another prolific season at Bayern Munich, netting 38 goals and once again proving himself as the club’s talisman in just his second year in Germany.

Kane played a pivotal role in helping Bayern reclaim the Bundesliga title and finally adding a major piece of silverware to his career after years of near misses.

Since his move abroad, speculation has continued to swirl around a potential Premier League return, particularly with Kane edging closer to breaking Alan Shearer’s all-time goalscoring record. He remains just 47 goals shy of the iconic tally.

But for now, his focus is firmly with Bayern as they compete in the Club World Cup, with his message drawing praise and support from former and current teammates.

The Club World Cup kicked off on 15 June, with some of the world’s top clubs already in action.

Bayern Munich opened their campaign against New Zealand part-timers Auckland City and delivered a ruthless performance, running out 10-0 winners.

Jamal Musiala stole the show with a hat-trick, while Thomas Muller grabbed a brace as his farewell tour continued in style.

Kane didn’t find the net on the night, but he remained upbeat and praised the team on Instagram, posting: “Three points and a strong start in the Club World Cup.”

His message earned plenty of interaction, with likes from Newcastle’s Trippier, Tottenham striker Solanke, and Musiala himself.

The German champions still have two more group fixtures to play, facing Boca Juniors and Benfica, as they aim to secure the trophy.

Liverpool set sights on Harry Kane as Premier League return talk intensifies

Despite settling well in Germany, talk of Kane returning to the Premier League hasn’t gone away, especially with several top English sides in search of a proven striker.

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Kane, who is open to a move back to England.

TalkSport pundit Ally McCoist has also urged Liverpool to make a serious move for the Kane this summer, calling him the ideal fit to lead their line.

With just 47 goals needed to break Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record, a return to English football could provide the perfect opportunity to cement his place in history.
