Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: Declan Rice reacts on social media as Everton star posts message after win vs Chelsea

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall posted a celebratory message on social media after Everton smashed his former club Chelsea on Saturday.

David Moyes’ side won 3-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium, with goals from Beto and Iliman Ndiaye confirming a big boost to remaining European hopes.

Everton signed Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea in a deal worth around £28million last summer, and he has proved transformational in the middle of the park.

He was superb again on Saturday, popping up everywhere in the midfield as his team dominated from start to finish.

Everton’s form has left them just three points behind fifth-placed Liverpool, with a late drive for European football far from out of the question.

Declan Rice likes Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall post

Football Insider exclusively revealed last month that Everton will not sell Dewsbury-Hall this summer, despite mounting interest in the 27-year-old.

The midfielder never really had a chance with Chelsea, but he sent his club a message on Saturday.

The Englishman was everywhere in midfield, relentlessly pressing the visitors, who struggled to deal with it.

Dewsbury-Hall could have scored late on, too, firing at Robert Sanchez in the hope of provoking another mistake after the Spaniard had spilt Beto’s second goal.

The Chelsea goalkeeper held on to the effort, but his former teammate would not have been disappointed by the result.

He took to Instagram after the game and wrote: “Enjoyed tha!” Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice liked the post.

Jack Grealish posts Dewsbury-Hall message

Saturday’s game was the type that Jack Grealish would have hoped to have had a direct hand in.

The winger is currently injured with a serious foot injury, and is expected to miss the rest of the season, bringing an end to his loan.

The England international may well return to Everton in the summer, and he has remained a vocal presence.

Grealish commented with clapping emojis and blue hearts on Dewsbury-Hall’s post, with the pair hoping to reunite in the coming months.

Both players were hoping to mark themselves in contention for the England squad going to the World Cup this season, but Grealish’s injury has ended his chances, and Dewsbury-Hall was snubbed for the latest camp.

Everton midfielder James Garner has been called up, and can give himself a good chance of travelling with a good performance in the upcoming camp.
