Klich starts as Leeds tipped to make two changes to XI v Man City after team news update

Noel Whelan has tipped Marcelo Bielsa to axe Ezgjan Alioski for Mateusz Klich when Leeds United visit Manchester City on Saturday.

The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, also touted Helder Costa for a rare start in the absence of Jack Harrison.

Bielsa will be forced into at least one change from the starting XI which beat Sheffield United, with the Manchester City loanee ineligible against his parent club.

Harrison scored his seventh goal of the season to open the scoring against the Blades.

As confirmed at his pre-match press conference, Bielsa has no new injury or fitness issues to deal with.

Whelan suggested Helder Costa would come in for Harrison for his first start since late February.

He also tipped a shake-up which would see Stuart Dallas move to left-back and Mateusz Klich start in midfield by replacing Alioski.

Discussing possible changes to the XI, Whelan told Football Insider: “Mateusz Klich might come back in and put Stuart Dallas back to left back. I’m just thinking because of defensive ability up against Mahrez.

“It could be like against Adama Traore when they dropped Alioski and brought in Dallas at left wing-back to be more assured defensively. Then we could bring Klich back into that midfield.

“That would be my preferred option; Put Dallas at left-back, bring Mateusz Klich into that midfield area and go for a bit more pace with Helder Costa.”

Klich has played in every one of Leeds’ 30 Premier League games this season.

However, he has only been a substitute for the last three.
