Klopp to 'rip into Liverpool board' in imminent interview after transfer reveal - pundit
Frank McAvennie claims Jurgen Klopp will use an interview to let loose at the Liverpool board in the near future.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, is surprised by how quiet the Liverpool boss has been regarding transfers this summer.
Football Insider was told by an Anfield source on 27 July Klopp has been left “unhappy” and immensely frustrated by the lack of transfer activity this summer.
Ibrahima Konate remains Liverpool’s only signing of the window after a poor 2020-21 season.
The Reds’ rivals, particularly the Manchester clubs, have been spending heavily on players like Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish this summer.
McAvennie insists this is the source of Klopp’s frustration and predicted an imminent verbal assault on the board.

“Klopp has been very quiet,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“That’s so uncharacteristic of him. He’s got to come out and say something.
“I think he’ll rip into the board, he’ll tear them a new one. He’s got it in him.
“He has the fans onside as well and the board are already unpopular. It’s a mess.
“They won’t sack him if he says anything, they can’t, plus he’s right to be annoyed.
“When you look around and see your biggest rivals buying everyone and spending money but you’re just standing still, that’s not right.
“I don’t know when it will come, it could be soon. Maybe after their first loss of the season but Klopp will have to say something.”
Liverpool’s league season gets underway with a trip to Carrow Road on 14th August.
Before then, the Reds face two more pre-season friendlies against Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna.
