Everton hit by January transfer blow after Koeman makes emphatic decision - report
By Harvey Byrne
Everton manager Ronald Koeman is open to offers for attacking midfielder Ross Barkley in January, according to a report.
The Sun has claimed that the Dutchman has not been convinced by the 23-year-old and has lost his patience with the former bright prospect.
The Evening Standard reported on Wednesday that Premier League rivals Tottenham had made an approach for the £65,000-a-week ace.
However, the report in the Sun states that no serious enquiries or offers have been made for the Englishman.
Barkley has been in and out of the Everton team this season after struggling to hit consistent form and he has also failed to make an England squad since the Euro 2016 tournament.

The attacker only has 18 months left on his current contract at Goodison Park and there has not been any indication that he will extend his deal.
This could mean Koeman is now looking to maximise the amount received for the Toffees youth graduate with his value expected to plummet in the summer.
Barkley has played in 156 encounters for the Toffees in total since making his debut 2011 at the age of 17.
However, his return of just three goals and two assists in 16 encounters this season may mean he now needs to restart his career elsewhere.
Football Insider verdict:
A change of scenery could be what Barkley needs in order to kickstart his football career. There is no doubt that he would have been disappointed with how the last few months have gone. However, his form doesn’t seem to be picking up barring a good display against Arsenal in midweek. It is not a secret that Everton have had a couple of bad seasons and have endured a poor run of form this season. This could in turn be having an effect on their players and especially a young one in Barkley. It is expected that there will be some interest in him in the winter and a big club may also take a chance on the former prospect.
