Kyle Bartley has taken a humorous swipe at Leeds teammate Luke Ayling’s hair, sharing that he doesn’t wash it too often.
The 25-year-old Whites full-back has built up a reputation for being a solid player in the defence for the Yorkshire side alongside his long blonde hair.
He also shares a house with on-loan defender Bartley after the two joined in the summer having previously been in the Arsenal youth ranks together.
But, in a question and answer session for the Leeds website, Bartley was asked about the smell of Ayling’s hair to which he revealed it doesn’t smell great due to the right-back’s lack of cleanliness.
“What does Luke Ayling’s hair smell of first thing in the morning,” started Bartley, repeating the question asked to him in the Q&A video.
“It’s not nice, I’ll tell you that. It’s a tricky one, it’s probably just sweat if I’m honest with you. He doesn’t wash it that often. He’s got a routine where he washes it like a Wednesday before every away game, so it’s really not that often.
“So yeah, it doesn’t smell great and it’ll probably get even worse with the new baby.”

Despite not having the greatest smelling hair it can not be denied that both Ayling and Bartley have played key roles in Leeds’ so far successful season.
The duo have featured regularly for Garry Monk’s side who have conceded just 36 goals from their 37 league fixtures this campaign.
As the club looks to end it’s 13-year wait for Premier League football fans will also be hoping the Leeds chiefs can tie up Bartley to a permanent deal from top flight side Swansea.
