Kyle Walker delivers verdict after Tottenham win against Everton

By Amir Mir

Kyle Walker has hailed Tottenham for playing “some good football” during a “tough” game against Everton.

Spurs battled to a 3-2 win in their Premier League clash at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon, largely thanks to their star striker Harry Kane.

The 23-year-old struck a brace during the match to help his team secure a valuable three points and maintain their unbeaten home record this season.

Right-back Walker played the full match and showcased his usual speed and power on the right-hand side.

After the match, the England international made this assessment of the game as he focused his mind on the club’s next encounter.

“Good battle today,” Walker wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Tough game but we played some nice football. Three more points and now our focus switches back to the FA Cup.”

Mauricio Pochettino will prepare his team for a tough all London clash against Millwall in the FA Cup next Sunday.

The League One side will visit White Hart Lane having beaten a number of Premier League teams along their way to this stage of the competition.

Neil Harris’ side beat Bournemouth and English league champions Leicester City on home soil as they now face their toughest test.

Pochettino’s men are flying high in the top tier currently sitting in second place, looking to clinch a second consecutive top-four finish at the end of the campaign.

They will have in-form striker Kane amongst their ranks with the Spurs academy graduate scoring a hat-trick during the previous round against Fulham.

In other Tottenham news, Chris Sutton has delivered a two-word verdict on the Spurs’ performance against Everton.
