Lampard responds to stat showing Tottenham ace Alli is miles better than him at 20
By Amir Mir
Frank Lampard jokingly stated that he “didn’t like that one” when Sky Sports showed a stat comparing his goal involvement to Tottenham ace Dele Alli’s before the age of 21.
The former Chelsea midfielder was speaking about the Spurs sensation live on Goals on Sunday, which was aired on Sky Sports 1.
Alli has scored or assisted an incredible 40 goals compared to Lampard’s 15 before the age of 21, clearly showing that he is miles better than him at the age of 20.
Nonetheless, former Premier League winner, Lampard delivered this glowing verdict of the highly-rated youngster.
“I don’t like that one,” Lampard responded in a tongue and cheek manner when shown his and Alli’s goal involvement.

“He is ahead of the game, as simply as that, he is advanced even on the international stage he’s comfortable. I didn’t have my first England cap by that age.
“Those numbers are great, he has all the ability, it is just how he goes now. It’s not just what he does on the pitch, it’s how he is off the pitch, people around him and how he grows as a person and a player.
“But that as a starting point, at the age of 20, that’ll be 100 already. He has the world at his feet.”
England international Alli has had a remarkable start to his career at Tottenham following his move from League One outfit MK Dons in 2015.
The attacking midfielder won the PFA’s Young Player of the Year award in his debut season, which included his maiden call-up to the national squad.
This season, he has gone one better, scoring 16 goals from the middle of the park in 30 Premier League games as he is on course to score 20 goals for the season.
During his career, Lampard was synonymous for scoring 20 goals a season as his stats of 176 strikes in 611 Premier League matches prove.
Alli, who was on target for his title-chasing side as they beat Watford 4-0 at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon, will be looking to match that incredible feat throughout his career.
