Tottenham fans react to injured player Twitter message after Watford win

By Amir Mir

Injured Tottenham ace Victor Wanyama has hailed his teammates after their 4-o win over Watford  – and fans on Twitter are hoping he hasn’t suffered a serious injury.

The midfield powerhouse had to withdraw from the Spurs team moments before kick-off on Saturday afternoon after picking up an injury during the warm-ups.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side went on to win the encounter 4-0 at White Hart Lane, with goals from Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Son Heung-Min (2).

During that match, the powerful Mousa Dembele and the versatile Dier played in front of the back four with Alli in behind the striker.

Nonetheless, supporters were hoping that Wanyama, who has been a key player for the club this season, is okay and will be fit for their up and coming matches.

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth will visit north London next Saturday which will be followed by a crucial FA Cup semi-final showdown against London rivals Chelsea.

One supporter joked that Wanyama is saving himself for that match where he will once again get the better of N’Golo Kante.

Wanyama produced a man of the match display when Spurs last played Chelsea, with his team winning the league match 2-0 and the Kenyan bossing the midfield.

Now, the White Hart Lane faithful will be hoping, he will be fit and ready for that encounter following his injury scare.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
