Noel Whelan claimed Moise Kean’s Everton career is over after the striker was seen attending a party on social media last week.

The former Leeds United forward, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, suggested the breach of lockdown was the “last straw” with the 20-year-old having failed to make an impact on the pitch this season.

The Toffees were appalled” by the actions of their forward who was videoed partying at his Cheshire home in spite of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The club is set to hand the summer signing a £100,000 fine as a consequence.

Kean arrived at Goodison Park from Juventus in August but has so far failed to justify his £27million price tag having only scored once in 26 appearances this campaign.

When asked by Football Insider if the incident could impact the striker’s future on Merseyside, Whelan said: “Some players have broken the curfew by walking around a park and this kid was having a party. A bloody party when he should still be in training and doing things right.

“I did not think he would make it at Everton but I think this was the last straw. This is the exit for him.

“They do not want players like that at the club. They want people who are committed to doing the right thing. That is as unprofessional as you can get.

“It is suicidal for his career. You talk about trust.

“He has done nothing on the field for Everton, absolutely nothing. He has shown nothing to suggest he will be a good player in the Premier League and he is partying like he is a superstar. Now is not the time.”

The Italy international is one of many Premier League players who has flouted government social distancing guidelines.

Jack Grealish fined by Aston Villa for attending a party at Ross McCormack’s house whilst Kyle Walker remains under investigation by Manchester City.
