Le Saux delivers verdict on Tottenham, shares prediction for Chelsea clash
By Matt Farr
Former Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux has backed Tottenham to triumph in the FA Cup semi final on Saturday evening.
The London rivals are set to battle it out at Wembley for a place in the FA Cup Final this weekend, with Tottenham also seeking to mount further pressure on Chelsea ahead of the finale to the Premier League title race.
Tottenham have been in phenomenal form of late, and have moved to within just four points of the league leaders with six games remaining.
Chelsea are still in the driving seat for the league title, but Tottenham can deal a valuable psychological blow to their rivals with a win in the FA Cup, whilst also gaining priceless momentum for the season run-in.
However, Le Saux, who won the FA Cup with Chelsea in the 1999-2000 campaign, backed Tottenham to emerge victorious from their upcoming encounter.

Speaking to Betfair, the 48-year-old hailed the ‘intuition’ and the ‘collaboration’ of Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino this season, insisting they will end their Wembley hoodoo against the Blues.
Tottenham have won just once at Wembley since 2008, losing two and drawing one of their four European matches at the ground earlier this season.
Le Saux said: “Spurs were absolutely phenomenal last week against Bournemouth – they were more than worth their 4-0 win and for me they are a brilliant side both in and out of possession.
“They play with an intuition that’s been fostered by the fantastic Mauricio Pochettino. The word that comes to mind when I see that Spurs team in action is collaboration – they all know their jobs and what’s expected of them.
“Although the bigger pitch might prove a slight problem for Spurs as it has done in the past, I still slightly favour them. They’re just playing so well at the moment.”
The last meeting between the two sides saw Tottenham run out comfortable 2-o winners in January, and they have lost just once in the Premier League since.
Arsenal and Manchester City face off in the second semi final on Sunday.
