Spurs have not finished above Arsenal since 1994-95, when Wenger was still in charge of French giants Monaco as the Gunners languished to 12th while Spurs finished seventh.
Arsenal still have five Premier League games to play this season, but sit way down in sixth and 17 points behind Mauricio Pochettino’s second placed Spurs.
Alli gave Spurs the lead with a close-range finish that saw the playmaker react first to a loose ball in the penalty area, after goalkeeper Petr Cech had parried a Christian Eriksen effort.
Kane immediately got in on the cat following Alli’s goal, dispatching a penalty after winning a spot-kick following a foul from Brazilian defender Gabriel in the penalty area.
Spurs now sit four points behind league leaders Chelsea, after the Blues beat Everton 3-0 away from home but would reduce to that to just one with victory against West Ham on Friday.
In other Tottenham news, Graham Roberts has made this bold claim about goal machine Kane.
