Pawel Cibicki has been demoted to the Leeds United youth team ahead of the senior side’s Championship clash against Brentford on Saturday.
Cibicki, 24, was named in the club’s Under-23s starting XI at lunchtime on Friday for the 1pm kick-off against Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday in the Professional Development League fixture.
The attacking midfielder is part of a strong-looking side that also includes Jay-Roy Grot, who has featured heavily for the first team this season.

Cibicki’s demotion to the reserves and participation in the Friday afternoon match almost certainly rules him out of Leeds’ league fixture against Brentford at Elland Road tomorrow.
The Swede has made 10 appearances for United’s first team this season, including five on the trot in December when he was finally given a run of matches.
But he has slipped back down the pecking order and has not yet played for new manager Paul Heckingbottom.
Cibicki was an unused substitute in Heckingbottom’s first match at the helm and then failed to make the matchday squad for the fixtures against Bristol City and Derby.
