The EFL released a statement on Wednesday that cleared Wolves of any wrongdoing over their connection with super agent Jorge Mendes.
Andrea Radrizzani had written to the EFL asking for clarification of the rules after Wolves beat them 3-0 back in March.
Radrizzani said that he wanted to get an answer from the EFL so that he could copy the Wolves model if they were doing nothing wrong.
He said: “It’s an opportunity for me to clarify the rules because I want to build a successful team on the pitch like Wolverhampton.
“To do it I might need to have five or six players on loan from an important agent or important clubs in Europe. I need to understand if it’s practical as I would like to do the same.”
And that clarification has arrived in emphatic fashion, with no further action to be taken.
The EFL statement was linked to their official Twitter page on Wednesday afternoon.

Leeds fans swarmed onto Twitter to respond after the news broke with one saying it was set to be a “BIG summer head for Leeds”, although the addition of a wink emoji suggested that he didn’t think that was going to happen.
Another fan just said that the news made Radrizzani’s “outburst look even more pathetic now”.
The news puts more pressure on both Radrizzani and recruitment specialist Victor Orta, with fans now expecting to be wowed when the transfer window opens.
If they’re not, Radrizzani’s words might well come back to haunt him.
Here are the best reactions from Leeds fans to the EFL statement:

Fair play to the owner of Wolves for setting up this relationship with Mendes and of course backing the success with hard cash. The opportunity is now there for #lufc and others to put a similar structure in place and challenge for promotion next season @andrearadri #wwfc

Is this gloves off and mad scramble for everyone to try emulate the Wolves model? Do you reckon #LUFC will try it or is it all smoke and mirrors as per with Radz mentioning his connections before?

Brilliant! So that means we’ll now be doing the same next season. I mean that’s why Radz grassed em up, I mean highlighted the issue

Time for Andrea to put his money where his mouth is then Phil. Said he wants to replicate the Wolves model if it was fair and proper. Step up to the plate glorious owner of Leeds. The time has come.
I feel he has backed himself into a corner with those premature comments. #lufc
