Leeds announcement imminent as Whites look to seal two transfer deals in two days - report

Leeds United are expected to announce the signing of Yosuke Ideguchi imminently while they are closing in on the capture of Laurens De Bock after agreeing terms over his transfer, according to a report.
The Yorkshire Evening Post claim on their website that the Whites have seen the Japanese international undertake his medical examination and are on the cusp of announcing his capture, while they are expected to loan him immediately to Cultural Leonesa.
Left back De Bock meanwhile is said to be on his way to Elland Road to finalise a transfer move from Belgian top flight side Club Brugge, with a medical set to be arranged over the next 48 hours.
He has fallen out of favour with the former Belgian top flight champions this season, with just eight appearances to his name after a total of 177 outings for the club.
It is claimed that the 25-year-old could become a Whites player ahead of the club’s Championship clash against Ipswich Town on Saturday, as they aim to make it two signings in as many days.
Football Insider verdict
Leeds fans were told to expect a quiet January by manager Thomas Christiansen but it appears to be anything but this week, with a flurry of transfer activity. Ideguchi’s capture has been on the cards for a while now, with just the official confirmation needed, while their pursuit of De Bock has come quickly from under the radar. Both moves promise to be exciting ones for the future at Elland Road, and the left back’s arrival will help bolster a squad pushing for promotion this season. Will there be more transfer activity during the current window? It is a possibility that if the right deal becomes available then Leeds will pounce, but supporters should not be expecting anything.
