Leeds line-up v Sutton: 20-year-old makes debut in 10 changes - reliable journalist

By Harvey Byrne

Garry Monk has decided to make 10 changes to his starting line-up to face Sutton at Gander Green Lane in Sunday afternoon’s FA Cup tie, according to a reliable journalist.

The young boss has brought 20-year-old Billy Whitehouse in to make his debut for the club after joining from Doncaster last summer.

Paul McKay, Souleymane Doukara, Marco Silvestri, Marcus Antonsson, Lewie Coyle, Liam Cooper, Tyler Denton, Matt Grimes and Kalvin Phillips have also came into his eleven.

This has resulted in Rob Green, Luke Ayling, Kyle Bartley, Pontus Jansson, Gaetano Berrardi, Eunan O’Kane, Liam Bridcutt, Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Chris Wood falling out of the side after the midweek 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer Phil Hay revealed the team on his personal Twitter account ahead of the match with the Yorkshire giants looking to progress in the cup competition.

Sutton joined the FA Cup in the fourth round qualifying stage meaning they have played significantly more matches than Leeds in this season’s competition.

The National League side beat Forest Green Rovers and Dartford in the early rounds before eliminating Football League duo Cheltenham and Wimbledon in the second and third round respectively.

Meanwhile, Leeds, who joined in the third round have defeated League Two side Cambridge to get to this stage.

The two sides have not met each other since an FA Cup tie in 1970, where Leeds ran out an emphatic 6-0 scoreline.

They will be hoping for a similar result on Sunday as they look to add to an already impressive campaign under Monk.
