Leeds Exclusive: Stuart Dallas tipped for shock Premier League move
Noel Whelan has suggested that Premier League sides may look to sign Leeds United wing-back Stuart Dallas during the summer transfer window.
The former Leeds striker and lifelong fan at Elland Road, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, believes the 28-year-old’s impressive form will have caught the eye of suitors this season.
The Northern Ireland international has been a mainstay in the Whites’ push for promotion this season, playing in every single Championship game so far.
Whelan suggests that Dallas may have caught a few eyes with his outstanding performances this season but admits he is hopeful the versatile talent will remain at Elland Road.
Asked by Football Insider why he thought top-flight clubs had not come in for Dallas before, Whelan said: “Well I’m glad they haven’t to be quite honest with you.
“I think Premier League clubs probably look at other players. They’ve obviously watched Leeds United and the team, they’ve been on TV so many times, they see the great squad we’ve assembled, the fantastic style of football that we play.

“I’m sure people will be looking at him, I’m sure people will have people like Stuart Dallas in their mind come pre-season but I don’t think Stuart’s wanting to go anywhere.
“I think he’s enjoying his football where he is and he knows he’s got an excellent opportunity to be at a massive club in the Premier League next year.”
Dallas joined Leeds from Brentford back in 2015 and was a regular on the wing during his first season at the club.
He has since re-established himself as Marcelo Bielsa’s first-choice left-back, although he has featured as both a right-back and a midfielder this term.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites could pull off a cut-price midfielder deal which makes “perfect sense”, claims Whelan.
