Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to call for Garry Monk to hand Alfonso Pedraza a starting berth against Cardiff on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Spaniard, who signed on loan from La Liga giants Villarreal in January, made his debut for the Yorkshire giants against Huddersfield on Sunday during the 2-1 derby loss.

Pedraza excited Leeds fans with his attacking intent right from the off, which saw him drive forward and strike a stinging shot at goal only to be denied by goalkeeper Danny Ward.

With Souleymane Doukara and Stuart Dallas failing to have an impact at the John Smith’s Stadium from out wide, Pedraza could now start against Neil Warnock’s side at Elland Road.

Leeds fans are desperate to see their new recruit start in Monk’s side on the weekend, as the former Swansea boss looks to see his side return to winning ways with three points against Cardiff.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Leeds will be desperate for three points come Saturday, as they look to kick-start their promotion bid and gain top-flight status for the first time since in 2003-04.

Starting Pedraza could help them do just that.
