Leeds United fans took to Twitter to express their fears that Samuel Saiz and Pontus Jansson will quit the club in the summer.

Playmaker Saiz and centre-back Jansson are widely regarded as United’s two outstanding players and have been the few recent bright lights during a miserable few months, which continued with Friday night’s 3-0 Championship defeat at Middlesbrough.

They both played the full 90 minutes of the clash at a bitterly cold Riverside Stadium as Leeds were demolished by a first-half Patrick Bamford hat-trick.

With United six points off the final play-off spot with 11 matches of the Championship season remaining and ahead of the rest of the weekend fixtures, their chances of ending their spell in the lower league doldrums are evaporating.

Supporters took to social media to express their conviction that Leeds will be forced to cash in on Jansson and Saiz, just as they were with Chris Wood last summer.
