Leeds fans demand Daniel Farke is ‘sacked’ after latest

Daniel Farke is facing growing calls for his dismissal from the supporters at Leeds United after what has been a frustrating start to the season.

Leeds lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest last time out, despite having gone 1-0 after just 13 minutes thanks to Lukas Nmecha, as they once again failed to make the most of a lead.

They have now dropped to 16th place in the league table, just one point above West Ham, who have won back-to-back games, and two avoid 19th-placed Forest.

It is not just the performances leaving fans frustrated, however, with the manager’s decision-making and team selection consistently called into question.

Three of their four teams below Leeds in the table have already made managerial changes this season, and the Peacocks could follow in a desperate bid to avoid relegation.

Daniel Farke facing increased sack calls at Leeds United

Football Insider revealed on 22 September that Leeds are not planning to sack Farke despite some early frustrations and hope to stick by him for the season.

However, with fans beginning to turn and a failure to win crucial fixtures over the last few weeks, there is a growing feeling that the boss could now face major pressure.

That is according to former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that serious questions will be asked if results do not change quickly.

It’s difficult to predict what Leeds are going to do,” he told Football Insider.

“There was some talk about him going in the summer, but that didn’t happen in the end, they decided to stick with him instead.

“I think there are a few problems going on at Leeds, it’s not just the manager, but ultimately if they’re not getting results, it always falls back on the manager.

“It’s not been the worst start for them, they’re not in the relegation zone at the moment, but the teams below them have started to pick up points.

“At the same time, they’ve hit a rocky patch, so all of a sudden they’re getting dragged into trouble.

“Some of the decisions the manager has made haven’t gone down well with the fans, and lots of them have started to turn on him and call for him to be sacked.

“When that happens, it’s hard to come back from it, and if they keep losing games after the international break then some serious questions will be asked.”

This comes after Football Insider revealed that Farke is concerned about his Leeds squad and had hoped to do more in the transfer window.

Leeds’ biggest concern revealed amid Farke sack pressure

A key frustration amongst the Leeds fans so far this season has been their lack of attacking threat, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin failing to provide a source of goals.

As a result, Football Insider revealed on 7 September that Leeds are concerned about their attacking options, and could look to bolster their squad in January.

Farke has set his sights on one position in particular which he is desperate to upgrade, with a new striker at the top of his list of priorities for the January transfer window.

Brown warned Football Insider on 16 September that Leeds are in big trouble as a result of their lack of firepower and are at growing risk of being relegated.

Leeds have found the net just 10 times in 11 league games so far this season, and already have a goal difference on -10, raising concerns amongst the supporters.
