His comments were flooded with messages from fans calling for the club to hand him a new contract and hoping he would not leave Elland Road this summer.
This comes after Football Insider revealed that talks have opened with Real Betis over the possibility of his sale, forcing Leeds to explore the market for new defenders.
The 27-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal at Elland Road, with fears that he could leave the club for free next summer.

Firpo was one of few big-name players who did not leave during last summer’s exodus and thus established himself as a key player under Daniel Farke, featuring X times last season.
This season, fans are expecting him to push on with fewer injury problems and after his goal v Harrogate, they think it could be a big season for him.
As a result, supporters have clamoured for him to sign a new deal to stay at the club beyond next summer.
