Young goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell continued to impress for Leeds, despite a 2-0 defeat to Fulham in the Championship on Tuesday night – and fans took to Twitter to give him praise.

Leeds could also consider themselves unlucky to lose after Fulham scored their opener through a freak Kevin McDonald goal.

The midfielder didn’t know anything about it as it hit him on the back from a corner and beat Peacock-Farrell.

The second was even more frustrating. After Caleb Ekuban was put through one-on-one, the Fulham keeper made a fine save and almost instantly Aleksandar Mitrovic scored Fulham’s second.

The win leaves Fulham in third, five points behind Cardiff City in second and 11 points off Wolves at the top.

Leeds are in 13th place and facing a disappointing end to the season.

However, fans have taken heart from the emergence of Peacock-Farrell, with one fan saying he should be player of the year.
