Leeds fans handed positive fitness news ahead of clash v Bristol City

Luke Ayling has said that his rehab at Leeds United is going well after the injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Talking in the programme ahead of Sunday’s Championship clash with Bristol City, Ayling said, “Things are going well… I am back in the gym, working hard and the ankle is feeling good.
When asked about his return date, Ayling confirmed that he was targeting pre-season to be back fully fit.
“If I’m lucky I might be able to train at the end of the season and as you say, come back flying for pre-season.”

Ayling was a mainstay in the Leeds team until his ankle injury, playing in every Championship game under Christiansen.
He confirmed that he had spoken to Paul Heckingbottom who had told him that he is a part of the future Leeds plans.
Back to the present though and Leeds will be looking to get their season back on track after a terrible run has seen them plummet to 13th in the Championship, way off the pace for the play-offs.
They’re eight points off today’s opponents Bristol City, who are currently in sixth in the league.
