'Shocking', 'Useless' - Leeds fans destroy attacker after first-half display v Bolton

By Richard Parks

Leeds United fans took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction at the first-half performance of Ezgjan Alioski in their Championship clash against Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road today.

The attacking midfielder was named in the starting XI for the 34th time out of United’s 39 league matches this season as Paul Heckingbottom fielded a line-up that included two strikers in Caleb Ekuban and Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

It paid dividends as Lasogga set up the opener for Ekuban just four minutes into the clash, with the Ghanian-born front man drilling in his first goal for the club.

Leeds had control of the opening period and should have gone into the break with a bigger advantage than the 1-0 scoreline.

Pontus Jansson headed a corner against the bar and Alioski screwed a shot wide after being put through by Pablo Hernandez.
