Leeds United fans took to Twitter to rave over the performance of Ezgjan Alioski for his first half performance against Barnsley on Saturday.
The Macedonian international was the star performer for the Whites, and played a key role in the club taking a half time lead at Oaktree.
His well worked pass to Samu Saiz set up the opening goal, before netting himself just seconds before the half time whistle.
Starting in a three pronged attack for the Whites he posed a constant threat to the Tykes’ defence, working with both Saiz and centre forward Caleb Ekuban to create chances and threaten scoring throughout the first 45 minutes.
Leeds fans were delighted with what they saw from the 25-year-old, and turned to social media to voice their admiration.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:
Alioski been our best player for a few weeks imo. Seems to have come out that sticky patch since international break. Work rate and now quality.

Alioski seems to be a lot more settled now at #lufc. Massive what a few goals does for a player.

Hernandez, Saiz and Alioski run the show. Imagine how good we'd be if we had a proven striker.

Since joining from FC Lugano over the summer, Alioski has been a regular in the starting XI for manager Thomas Christiansen, with his outing against Barnsley the 17th league appearance of his career at Elland Road.
During that time he has managed to net four goals, including three in his last three games prior to Saturday’s clash and chip in with a further two assists for his team mates.
Victory for Leeds would push them up to eighth in the Championship table, although with at least one game in hand over the rest of the second tier sides.
In other Leeds United news, the club were handed a major blow after this 20-year-old was ruled out for the season.
