Leeds United fans have heaped praise on Ezgjan Alioski on Twitter for his performance in the 2-1 Championship win against Middlesbrough at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.
Alioski, 25, seemed to have been involved in a lot of the Whites’ attacking play, especially in the first-half where his battle with Boro full-back George Friend became a key factor in proceedings.
He bagged his third Whites goal of the season by slamming the ball into the net from Pablo Hernandez’s cross in the second half, helping ensure three points for his side.
The Macedonia international had a big impact on the opening goal too when his cross was flicked on by Kalvin Phillips, who steered the ball into the path of the on-rushing Pablo Hernandez.
Many fans were impressed with the ex-Lugano star, with one saying that he had Friend “on toast” for most of the game.
However not all of the Elland Road faithful were won over by the tricky winger.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Phillips and Vieira winning the midfield battle that was imperative Alioski looks dangerous

Superb so far, strong at the back, dominating midfield with Pablo and Alioski running their full-backs ragged. Pablo, Alioski and Saiz together are great to watch, superb movement pulling players all over the place. #lufc

Good first half that. Look so much more assured. Hernandez is pure class. Alioski has Friend on toast, best game for a while #lufc

Wish Alioski just kept on his feet a bit more, not just under challenges but generally! That said, really putting himself about today.

Can Alioski stand up? Has he got studs in his boots?

Alioski has made 18 appearances across all competitions for Leeds this season, scoring three goals and supplying three assists in the process.
He was brought in over the summer from Swiss surprise package Lugano after playing a critical role in helping them defy the odds to qualify for European football.
Next up for Leeds is a clash against Championship leaders Wolves at Molineux on Wednesday night.
In other Leeds United news, it has been revealed why Stuart Dallas and Lasogga were omitted for the game against Boro.
